Huduma smart believes in mutual terms between domestic workers and their employers. Employers should receive the right and skilled service from their employees. On the other hand domestic workers should work in conducive environments and paid accordingly.
In Tanzania, the national domestic work study conducted, gives evidence of high incidence of unpaid or paid below the statutory minimum wage to domestic workers and excessive in-kind payments. Along side underpayment domestic workers also face sexual harassment with the majority being women, absence of documented agreements and poor working environments.
